Are you missing your crumbs?
Every now and again I just crave something crumby and crunchy. Changing to a low carb life has meant making a lot of changes to our lifestyle.
Most crumbs are made from high carb foods like bread. Trying to find alternatives to high carb crumbs has been a challenge but I found it.
It is with great pleasure and 'crunchiness' that I introduce to you the wonderful world of lupin crumbs.
These crumbs are used in my low carb porridge.
Raw Earth Produce are Western Australian company located in the south west town of Capel. Lupins are a legume and the bitter type contain high levels of alkaloids and are toxic if not prepared properly as are most legumes. The lupins in Raw Earth are the sweet variety and contain much smaller amounts of toxic alkaloids. Lupins contain more protein than 3 eggs, more fibre than 3 prunes and hands down are the winner when compare to a banana for iron, patassium, magnesium, calcium and fibre. They are just a powerhouse of nutrients.
